Talking about the best animation all of time, there is one name that very suitable to fill the candidate. The name of the animation is Spirited Away which is directed by Hayao Miyazaki and made by Studio Ghibli.
Spirited Away or in Japanese called "Sen to Chihiro no
Kamikakushi" released in Tokyo, Japan in 2001 and successfully defeated
number of viewers on Titanic and became the highest-grossing film in Japanese
history with a ¥30.4 billion total. The success was obtained from Studio Ghibli
that produced this animation. Studio Ghibli is very popular with concept of
provocative, imaginative, and emotional stories.
The work of this animated film uses hand drawing by Miyazaki
each frame. "We made an animation of hand drawing and digitized it in
order to enrich the visual appearance, but it all started with hand drawing,"
said Miyazaki in 2002.
In 2002, Spirited Away won Oscar as the greatest animation
film, and become the first anime which got appreciation in that category.
Beside Oscar, in the same year Spirited Away got an Goldener Bär appreciation
in Berlin International Film Festival. In 2003, Spirited Away won Best Animated
Feature Film in Academy Awards, which successfully changed history because for
the first time this award fell on Japanese animated films.
Spirited Away is story about stubborn, spoiled, and naïve, 10-year-old Chihiro Ogino is less than pleased when she and her parents discover an abandoned amusement park on the way to their new house. Cautiously venturing inside, she realizes that there is more to this place than meets the eye, as strange things begin to happen once dusk falls. Ghostly apparitions and food that turns her parents into pigs are just the start—Chihiro has unwittingly crossed over into the spirit world. Now trapped, she must summon the courage to live and work amongst spirits, with the help of the enigmatic Haku and the cast of unique characters she meets along the way.
Vivid and intriguing, Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi) tells
the story of Chihiro's journey through an unfamiliar world as she strives to
save her parents and return home.
